Terms & Conditions

Payments and fees

  • Fees are payable by subscription only via the ClassForKids system. Payments are taken from your account on the 1st of each month.
  • Our fees are pro rata and based on 39 weeks worth of classes split over 11 months (September - July).
  • For new starters joining mid-month, a covering payment will be added to your first monthly payment. This is to charge for any classes attended prior to your first subscription payment being taken.
  • If a class is cancelled by Hype Dance Company, and an alternative class cannot be offered, the fee for that class will be deducted from the next month’s fees. Hype will not be financially liable for classes or dates cancelled due to events beyond its reasonable control.
  • No refunds will be given if a student misses classes. This includes private lessons. In exceptional circumstances, such as significant injury/illness, fees may be adjusted at the discretion of the principal.
  • Fees are subject to change and Hype Dance Company will notify you, in advance, of any increase in fees.
  • Should you wish to cancel your subscription, we require one months written notice via email along with one final full fee payment. Emails should be sent to hypedanceco@outlook.com.

  • All students must wear appropriate clothing. Dancewear/active wear that the dancer can easily move in is recommended.
  • Hair should be off the face and long hair should be tied up.
  • Jewellery and accessories must be removed before the class begins.

Behaviour and conduct

  • Please drop off/collect students promptly at the start and end of each lesson. Parents/guardians are not permitted to remain in the dance studio during class.
  • All students are expected to maintain good attendance to ensure they reach their maximum potential.
  • Students are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner and be respectful of staff and fellow students at all times.
  • Any medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of enrolment and it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to keep Hype Dance Company up to date with any relevant changes.
  • All students should bring adequate water to class. Fizzy drinks are not permitted.
  • Chewing gum is not permitted in the dance studio.
  • Mobile phones must be on silent or switched off during class.
  • Any rubbish must be cleaned up before you leave. Please respect the studios/venues we use.
  • Hype Dance Company reserves the right to remove from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour.

General

  • Due to the nature of dance tuition, it may be necessary from time to time for physical contact to occur between the teacher and the student to ensure safe technique and prevent injury. Contact will be kept to a minimum and always carried out in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Teachers are only responsible for students once they are in the studio. They are not responsible for any student outside of the class.
  • To ensure the safety of students, no child under the age of 16 will be permitted to leave the building without a parent/guardian. If a student is being collected by someone other than the parent/guardian, please notify the teacher in writing.
  • You must declare if you do not want your child to be photographed for marketing use and keep Hype Dance Company up-to-date should this change.
